The project involved the complete replacement of the existing fire alarm system throughout the site’s office and employee areas, including new cabling, detection devices and a fully compliant system design. Following a detailed intrusive survey of the building, our team developed a tailored solution that meets the latest fire safety regulations while providing the flexibility to accommodate future expansion.

Designed to achieve an L2 category fire detection system, the installation provides enhanced life safety protection through early fire detection. The system includes comprehensive coverage across escape routes, adjoining rooms, high-risk areas and the extensive roof voids created by the building’s industrial design, helping to ensure occupants receive the earliest possible warning in the event of a fire.

As part of our design, we selected a fire alarm panel with future growth in mind, allowing additional devices and systems to be integrated as the facility continues to evolve. This forward-thinking approach ensures the investment can support Dovecote Park’s long-term operational requirements.

Our relationship with Dovecote Park is continuing as we support the next phase of the site’s fire safety strategy. We have submitted proposals for the installation of an aspirating fire detection system within the livestock processing area ahead of the building becoming fully operational.
